Every release, unique and numbered.
Put two lads in the Yukon, stick them on a canoe trip and lo and behold, out comes a brewery.
Yes, that’s how it really started.
This isn’t the start of a Robert W. Service story. A canoe trip did in fact start the ball rolling into creating a brewery.
Now, making beer is a joyous thing, but in 2009 these two brew blokes decided to take a it couple of steps further: “Let’s make whisky.” they said. So, they bought a still, applied their brewing know-how and are making whisky. Very much in demand whisky in fact. Every release is a small release, using a variety of malted roasted grains, and different fermentation techniques. Finally each release is matured in a mix of different barrels – everytime. The goal is that no two releases are to be the same. As each new expression emerges, it is layered and complex and probably never to be repeated.
Almost two decades later, Yukon Brewing and sister company Two Brewers continue to slake spirit and beer enjoyers’ thirst with their award-winning whiskies. Also, no new canoe trips are currently in the works.
