Corporate events & virtual tastings

The virtual tasting. Tailored.

“It has been an absolute pleasure working with Specialty Spirits on our latest executive VIP event.  Brendan took a my vague idea and turned it into a perfectly planned virtual evening of education and of course whisky tasting.  He helped identify the whisky for the event, ordered the product, plan the speakers and did an outstanding job moderating the event as well.  His communication and customer service were stellar.

I highly recommend Brendan and Specialty Spirits for anyone looking to do virtual events.”

In the weird world we found ourselves in, starting in 2020, it became even more apparent that we needed to find way to still run events and feel connected to our colleagues and clients.

Choosing the right provider for online, or in-person events can be challenging! Even more so in times we need to be more socially distanced.

More and more, people are turning towards the Exploration Of spirits Events. The popularity of whisky in particular has been accelerating over the past few years, and the search for something unique is viewed as something premium to clients. This makes something like a virtual whisky tasting as something exciting to offer to clientele as a way to show appreciation.

Specialty Spirits is partnered with distilleries from around the world that offer craft gins, vodkas, rum and yes, of course whiskies.  By hosting an event that features spirits you cannot buy anywhere else in Ontario, you will be able to host a truly one-of-a-kind experience.

Whether your clients are in Windsor or Toronto, Waterloo to Ottawa, we’re here to help you create an event that is fun, engaging, enlightening and most importantly – memorable.

Looking to your raise the bar for your virtual tasting or corporate event? Here are some things to keep in mind to make it pour-fect.

Spirits

The centrepiece of an event (aside from your business of course) are the spirits. The uniqueness of the spirits is what sets Specialty Spirits apart from other virtual events and tastings. Looking to incorporate some LCBO stock as well? No problem.

Whether it’s our Distillery Partner brands, or LCBO stock there is no mark-up on the spirits. You pay what we pay.

Attendees

Whether it’s for an in-person event or a virtual tasting, there is a capacity or attendance goal you’d like to hit.

Plan for a reasonable number of attendees.  Our recommendation is 10-20 for a more intimate evening.

Larger events can be split into breakout rooms.

Budget

It’s always hard to know what things cost. Like our Membership model, we want to keep things as clear and upfront as possible.

Our base experience is $1500 CAD, plus the cost of spirits. This includes coordination of the event, a facilitator and moderator. For events using our Distillery Partners*, we can also arrange for a distillery representative to join.

“When COVID pulled the plug on our ability to host fun and unique customer-facing events, we were forced to improvise.  A quick search online led me to Brendan from Specialty Spirits, and after a brief discussion about my vision for the event, he was able to craft a customized, virtual whiskey tasting evening for a group of colleagues and friends.

I wasn’t sure how it was all going to come together but Brendan, absolutely delivered a memorable event; and I didn’t have to lift a finger!  He took care of the product selection, sample preparation, packaging and shipping.

The knowledge and passion for whiskey displayed by Brendan and his colleague, Renaud is truly unmatched.  The added bonus of having Owen King, the distiller at Ironclad Distillery, an artisanal distillery in the United States, walk us through his products and the history of his company, was greatly appreciated by all.

I would not hesitate to utilize Brendan’s services again. Nor should you.”
